Every intervention has a knock on effect, with a risk of complication. It is a good idea to know what those might be, and whether there is a better way of handling the situation.
There is a 1 in 3 chance that an induction will lead to a caesarean. Sometimes inductions are really necessary, but often, they are done too early. Labour is far more painful, as you don't have the bodies natural hormones of labour bouying you up. This also affects the baby. Read more about it here.
